Hiring the right tribal probation officer is a course designed to provide tribes with some examples, ideas and suggestions for the recruitment, hiring and retention of tribal probation officers. This course will provide guidance in how to select the best candidate for the "type" of probation program in your own tribal community. The importance of incorporating cultural and spiritual strengths of the tribe into the programs for both offenders and victims will be explored.
